Award Results
GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2024 opened for applications on April 1, and 5,773 entries were screened. 1,579 entries were awarded through two rigorous and fair screenings by the judging committee of design experts from Japan and abroad.
This includes 100 works in the GOOD DESIGN BEST100, which are highly regarded as particularly excellent designs in various fields. And 32 special awards were selected from the BEST 100, including 20 GOOD DESIGN GOLD AWARDs, which are finalists for the GOOD DESIGN GRAND AWARD, the highest award of the year. The GOOD DESIGN GRAND AWARD will be elected and announced on November 5.
In addition, 12 GOOD DESIGN LONG LIFE DESIGN AWARDs are also decided, which are given to designs that have been supported by people for many years.

Prime Minister's Award, the most outstanding design among all GOOD DESIGN AWARD works selected in 2024.
The election result will be announced on November 5.

Highly evaluated by GOOD DESIGN AWARD jury members by the comprehensive points of view, such as the quality of the efforts for the solution of social issues or the potential for the future development.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [NEW BUSINESS DESIGN]
Outstanding design for the development of new business model, creation of new industry or promoter for innovation.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [DESIGN OF TECHNIQUE & TRADITION]
Outstanding product design realized by the high level technology or technique.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [DESIGN OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT]
Outstanding design for the continuous development of local community or economy activation.
GOOD FOCUS AWARD [DISASTER PREVENTION & RECOVERY DESIGN]
Outstanding design works for the prevention of and the recovery and the recovery from natural disasters.
